On August 4 2025 Mohammed Siraj registered his name in the history books by equalling the record of taking the most wickets for India in a Test series played in England. Mohammed Siraj equalling Jasprit Bumrah’s record of taking the most wickets for India in a Test series played in England. Mohammed Siraj played all five Tests for India in England and taken 23 wickets in the whole series which also helped him enter the top 10 list of Indian bowlers who have taken the most wickets in a Test series played away from India. Here is the list of bowlers.

  1. In the 2024-25 edition of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia Jasprit Bumrah played five Tests against Australia and taken 32 wickets.
  2. Bishan Singh Bedi taken 31 wickets in five matches during tour of India of Australia in 1977-78.
  3. Bhagwath Chandrasekhar played five Test matches in Australia in 1977-78 and taken 28 wickets.
  4. In 1952-53 Subhash Gupte dismissed 27 batters of West Indies in five matches during India’s tour of the West Indies.
  5. Kapil Dev played five Test matches in Australia in year 1991-92 and taken the wickets of 25 opposition batters.
  6. In year 1967-68, Erapalli Prasanna played four Tests in Australia and picked up 25 wickets including two five-wicket hauls.

  7. In year 1967-68, Erapalli Prasanna played four Tests in New Zealand and picked up 24 wickets.
  8. During Border-Gavaskar Trophy in the 2003-04 Anil Kumble picked up 24 wickets in three Test matches in Australia.
  9. Kapil Dev in year 1982-83 played six Test matches in Pakistan and picked up 24 wickets.
  10. A series during the 2021-22 in England Jasprit Bumrah taken the wickets of 23 English batters in five Test matches.
  11. In year 2006 Anil Kumble played four Test matches in the West Indies and picked up 23 wickets.
  12. In the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, Mohammed Siraj dismissed 23 English batters in five matches.
