Ahead of upcoming Asia Cup 2025 Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav has shown the important signs of achieving full fitness by batting in the net during his ongoing rehabilitation at the BCCIs centre of Excellence (CoE). In the last month July Suryakumar Yadav had undergone surgery of a sports hernia in the lower-right abdomen in Munich, Germany and then for rehabilitation checked into the CoE.
Suryakumar Yadav on his instagram account shared a video on Friday that he is resumed batting at the CoE, IANS which means that the right-handed batter has already started his batting practice from the end of last week.
Suryakumar in the caption of the video, in which he’s also seen doing exercises and running wrote “Can’t wait to be back doing what I love,”
All of which are a part of building his workload towards full fitness.
Suryakumar Yadav in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 was the most valuable player (MVP) after scoring 717 runs for the Mumbai Indians (MI) who played in Qualifier 2. Suryakumar was the second-highest run-scorer of the IPL 2025 season. He is only behind of Orange Cap winner B. Sai Sudharsan, who scored 759 runs for the Gujarat Titans (GT).

India in 22 matches played under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav in which 17 matches won by Indian team. In the 83 T20Is Suryakumar has scored total 2598 runs at an average of 38.2 with strike rate of 167.07.
