After record breaking 125* Dewald Brevis jumps into top 25
On August 12 Brevis was in action against Australia, during the second T20I in Darwin. In the fifth over he came at 44-2 and scored his maiden T20I half-century, before changing it into a triple -figure score. He made an unbeaten 125 off 56 balls, including 12 fours and eight sixes. Dewald Brevis became the youngest South African batsman who scored a T20 century. He also scored highest individual score by a South African in the T20I format.
Due to this score he astonishing 80 spots up in the ICC men’s T20I batting rankings, from 101st to 21st.
Elsewhere,Australian batter Tim David moved up six spots, breaking into the top ten of the rankings which is first time in his career. He scores of 50, 83, 30 and 102* in his last four T20I innings.
