Asia Cup 2025: India equal T20I world record after knock over Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025 super four

Batting of India might proved too much to be picked up for Pakistan as Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill guided the charge in the 172-run chase. In the Asia Cup 2025 Super Four, India have equalled a world record with their win over Pakistan.

India surpassed Pakistan yet again in the Asia Cup 2025 with a commanding win at the Dubai International Cricket on Sunday, 21 September. Guided by passionate hits from Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill, the Indian cricket team chased down the 172-run target against the Pakistan cricket team in Dubai.

The competition saw agitated, heated exchanges and no handshake yet again. At some moments Players were face-to-face with each other in what was a typical India vs Pakistan encounter.

The Indian cricket squad dominated the things with the bat, on the other side Pakistan had a better outing and probably their best of the Asia Cup 2025 so far. They batted well with Fakhar Zaman and Sahibzada Farhan leading the way, coupled with some expensive drops from the Indian cricket team.

Meantime, the openers of India bluffed the Pakistani bowlers with their blowing batting as they put up a 105-run stand, before Hardik Pandya and Tilak Varma finished the match as the Indian cricket team won by six wickets.

Meanwhile, with India’s run-chase,India have equalled a world record of T20I against Pakistan. While chasing,this victory was eighth consecutive victory over Pakistan in T20Is, as their unbeaten band continued.

India have equalled the record of most wins by a team against an opponent in T20I without losing a match while chasing. With eight such wins they are now equal with Malaysia.
