Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj hacked through the West Indies batting line-up, setting up compressing innings and 140-run victory on Day 3 on Saturday of the first Test in Ahmedabad.
At India’s overnight score of 448/5, they declared and then blew away the West Indies for a paltry 146 in their second innings to go 1-0 up in the series of two-match.
Jadeja (4/54) and Siraj (3/31) were the lead bowlers for India. The pacer finished a seven-wicket match haul as well, carrying on with his fine recent form.
