Kuldeep Yadav removed Temba Bavuma for three – neatly held at leg slip – and afterward trapped Wiaan Mulder lbw for 24. Bumrah finished Tony de Zorzi who made 24. Siraj striking twice in four balls to take off Kyle Verreynne lbw for 16 and Jansen for a duck. After that South Africa team folded soon.
Before bad light intervened, Indian team’s chase lasted only briefly. Under the floodlights, KL Rahul (13*) and Washington Sundar (6*) saw off the closing minutes, taking India to 37-1 and fine positioned heading into the second day of the first Test.
