Indian cricket team spinner Kuldeep Yadav has reportedly requested the Board of Control for Cricket in india (BCCI) to grant him leave for his marriage after the ongoing first Test against South Africa at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.It is chance that he miss the upcoming second Test, as well as the three-match ODI series against the South Africa.
As per a report by the Times of India, wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav is waiting for his leave to be approved by the governing body, as Yadav has planned his marriage in the last week of November.
A BCCI source said the Times of India “Kuldeep wedding is planned for the last week of November. The team management will assess when they will need his services before granting him the exact number of leaves,”
In recent months, Spinner was engaged earlier this year in June, has been taken part in indian team across all formats of cricket. He was chosen in England tour, the home series against the West Indies, the white-ball tour of Australia,and currently South Africa assignment as well.

India have significant assignment scheduled against New Zealand, followed by the T20 World Cup 2026, therefore the schedule does not relent going forward as well.
Kapil Pandey who is coach of Kuldeep Yadav had disclosed during the engagement ceremony of Kuldeep Yadav that marriage ceremony is assume to be conducted in November after a short postponement.
“The IPL has just ended and the England tour will start soon, so players couldn’t join. The wedding will be finalized on an auspicious date, probably in November. A starry turnout is expected,” Kapil Pandey said the Hindustan Times in June.
From 22 November,2025, Saturday, the second Test between India and South Africa is scheduled to start at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. On the other hand, before the five-match T20I series, the three-match ODI series will be scheduled between 30 November and December 6.
