India vs South Africa Day 1 2nd Test Highlights: In the final session, India made a fightback after the opening two were influenced by South Africa in the final and second Test in Guwahati at the Barsapara Stadium. South Africa were three runs away from the 250-mark for the loss of six wickets at the time of stumps. 84-run stand between Temba Bavuma and Tristan Stubbs was broken by Ravindra Jadeja, getting rid of the South African captain on 41. Kuldeep Yadav taken two wickets, in which first removing set batter Stubbs for 49 runs, then removing Wiaan Mulder out for 13. For the sixth wicket,Tony de Zorzi and Senuran Muthusamy then added 45 runs, which was beheaded by Mohammed Shami as he got the former caught-behind for 28.
Tristan Stubbs has told, they are a bit disappointed that everyone in the top six got starts, but none could anchor the innings. Proteas still have four wickets remains but with the second new ball just 1.3 overs old, Indian team will look to make early inroads tomorrow. Day 2 match will begin at 9 am IST (3:30 am GMT). At stumps, South Africa was at 247/6 on Day 1 of the second Test.
