
Hours after KKR roped in Zimbabwe pacer blessing Muzarabani for IPL 2026, a development comes. In the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) competition IPL 2026 which will begin from 28 March, 2026. Harshit Rana has been ruled out of IPL 2026 since he injured his knee during a warm-up fixture against South Africa in February ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. Rana is unlikely to recover in time for IPL 2026 as per a report in the Times of India (TOI). The report added that KKR is yet to finalize for the upcoming IPL season’s player’s replacement.
The report quoted an official as telling ” Harshit Rana unfortunately will not be available but it gives the opportunity to other bowlers in the squad – Vaibhav, Umran, Kartik and akash – to step up and grab the opportunity. No replacement has been decided yet,”
In the recently-concluded T20 World Cup, the 29-year-old Harshit Rana was among the prominent bowlers, completing as the joint third-highest wicket-taker with 13 wickets as Zimbabwe made it to the Super Eights stage.

His pace and consistency across global leagues and international cricket add further depth to KKR’s pace attack heading into the season” In the bowling ranks of Kolkata Knight Riders, the addition of Muzarabani is due to exit of Bangladesh left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman, who was released by the KKR last December.
