15- player squad for ICC Men’s T20 World cup 2024 announced by India.
Indian squad will lead by Rohit Sharma in long awaited glory as BCCI announced their squad for ICC Men’s T20 World cup 2024 squad.Before announcement wicketkeeper selection was uncertain. Lastly India handover this responsibilities to Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson.
In December 2022 accident of Rishabh Pant was happened and after more than 1 year he returned to international cricket for the first time.That accident kept him on the sidelines for more than a year.
Shivan Dube’s IPL form recently in T20I series against Afghanistan made it difficult for him to be left out as he kept his place in the squad.The 30-year-old is in good form for the Chennai Super Kings scored 350 runs in nine matches with impressive strike rate of 172.41.

Reserverves: Shubman Gill, Rinku Singh, Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan.
KL Rahul who was part of last two India’s squad of two world cup campaigns (2022 and 2021) is missing in India’s list this time.
Along with Pakistan, Canada, Ireland and co-hosts USA India are placed in Group A of the tournament.Their match will start on 5th June 2024 against Ireland at the newly-constructed Nassau Country International cricket stadium in New York before they take on Pakistan in one of the most awaited matches of the upcoming T20 World cup.
ICC allowed to all teams to make changes to their squad until 25 May, after which any changes will require approval from ICC’s Event Technical committee.
