According to sports what is the current situation of India?

India is looking to host the 2036 Olympic. The central government of India has tripled its sports budget from 2014 to 2023.India founded Asian Games which is supposed to be World’s second-largest sporting event behind the Olympic Games.
India has sports history dating back to the vedic period.The highest television viewership in India is cricket. IPL (Indian Premier League) being the most followed league in the country. Due to Indian Super League (ISL) football has also gained popularity in India. Indian Super League (ISL) being the highest level of domestic football, and National team wining multiple gold medals at Asian and South Asian Games. Additionally football achievements include India having reached the Groupstage of the 1960 Olympics, qualified for the 1950 FIFA World cup, and won the SAFF Championship. Other sports include Kabaddi, Tennis, badminton, athletics with Kho-Kho becoming the fourth- most viewed sport. Along with these games India also had success in the field of hockey, winning the world cup and several medals in the Olympic Games sports such as Rugby, golf, boxing, kickboxing, mixed material arts, basketball, wrestling and motorsport are present in the whole country.

One of the world’s oldest football clubs, the Mohan Bagan was established in 1889.When the Football Association began making standard rules for football Mohan Bagan club was established. Before FIFA, the international governing body of football was established.

Ancient and medieval period

The world’s oldest stadium with terraced stands was established in Dholavira, Gujrat, during the third BCE. At the ancient site two stadiums have been recognized, out of which one is considered a ceremonial ground, and another one a small stadium. The mantra in the Atharvaveda says, ” Duty is in my right hand and the fruits of victory in my left.”. This look like the Olympic Oath: ” For the honor of my Country and the Glory of sport.”

The modern game of badminton developed from a English children’s game which is known as battledore and shuttlecock. a game that was most important in ancient India.

Board games, which include chess and snakes and ladders was comes from the ancient Indian games Chaturanga and gyan chauper respectively which was modernized by foreign countries,

Several Indian differences of tag , such as Kabaddi and Kho-Kho ,originated in prehistoric times, with Kho-Kho being played as far back as the fourth century BCE. Kabaddi in particular were used for military training purposes.
