Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh wishes Delhi Capitals to retain Rishabh Pant for IPL 2025.He also suggest four other players the franchise should keep ahead of the mega auction.
BCCI has set 31 October 2024 as the deadline for all franchises to summit the list of the players who will play for them in the next season. A franchise can retains six players directly or use the Right to Match (RTM) cards.
A maximum of 5 capped or 2 uncapped players are permitted to be retained. “I don’t know whether Rishabh Pant would be retained by Delhi Capitals or not. But I were with the franchise, he would have been my first pick. Axar Patel should be number two, followed by Tristan Stubbs, Jake Fraser- McGurk and Mitchell Marsh,” Harbhajan Singh told to reporters.
After recovering from a deadly car accident, Rishabh Pant returned to play for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2024.The team management quickly promoted him to captain of Delhi Capitals.
As per reports from many media, Rishabh Pant is leaving the franchise and is on the radar of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), who are looking for new captains. The departure of Sourav Ganguly and Ricky Ponting from Delhi Capitals has made Pant’s position a bit shaky.
