Profile
Indian Cricket team searching for a death overs’ bowler, Jasprit Bumrah came to the fore through the Indian Premier League, as a asset for cricket in the Country. The pacer from Gujarat becomes a part of Mumbai Indians franchise and has grown into an essential asset for the Indian team in the limited-overs format.
In June 2024, Bumrah was part of India’s squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. He has taken 15 wickets with an economy rate of 4.17 runs per over, making him the second-highest wicket-taker for the team. He was named the player of the tournament following India’s win in the final against South Africa.
In September 2024, Bumrah during the first Test match between India and Bangladesh achieved the milestone of 400 international wickets. With this achievement he becomes the sixth Indian fast bowler to reach this notable mark.
