Ravi Shastri Ex. India head coach who have experiences of the thing about winning Test latexs in Australia, yesterday inquired Indian captain Rohit Sharma to return to the opening slot as like before “if he has to throw the first punch” on an opposition brimming with confidence.

Ravi Shastri was working on the position of team director when in year 2017-18 won their maiden Test series in Australia and was also the head coach when the side rallied reflecting of much light to stun the hosts in the last tour in 2020-21.

The shifting of skipper Rohit Sharma to slot at number six did not yield the desired hope for India, as a result of which India lose the match by 10 wickets in the second Test at Adelaide in Australia, leaving the five-match series locked at 1-1 and with everything to play for in what Ravi Shastri believes could determined the fate of the series.

“That’s where he (Rohit Sharma) is been at his best over the last eight or nine years,” Ravi Shastri was stated as telling by ‘The Age’ .” It’s not that he is going to set the world on fire – he could – but that’s the place that’s best for him….If he has to do damage, if he has to throw th first punch, that’s the best place from where he can do it.”

Rohit Sharma has made only one fifty in his last 10 innings heading into the pink-ball Test last week when Ravi Shastri, engrossmently, advised against changing the opening pair of KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal after their good performance in the position while backing the skipper to bat in the middle-order.

Ravi Shastri told he has no doubt the winner of the third test could go on to claim the series. “I feel whichever team wins this Test match will win the series. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind. So it is very, very important that India get the balance right, because Australia have got the confidence back,” the ex. skipper told. The victory of 2021 is assumed one of the greatest in the history of Indian cricket and Ravi Shastri, while addressing at the first annual Usman Khawaja Foundation lunch at the Gabba.
