India’s two-time Olympic medal-winning and total five medals badminton PV Sindhu’s wedding news came close on the heels of her victory at the Syed Modi international in Lucknow earlier this month, ending a long title drought.
Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu jumped on a new journey in her life as she tied the knot with entrepreneur Venkatta Datta Sai in a private ceremony.
PV Sindhu, 29-year-old who is from Hyderabad and won a bronze at the Rio Olympics 2016 and three years ago a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics married Venkata Datta Sai who is an executive director at Posidex Technologies on Sunday in a traditional ceremony in Udaipur Rajasthan.
Union Minister of culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat shared a delighting picture of the couple, offering his blessing. Pre-wedding festivities included haldi, mehendi and sangeet ceremonies. The family member long-time acquaintances, planed the wedding swiftly to accommodate Sindhu’s training schedule.
Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, who was present in the ceremony, shared the moment on his X handle, writing, “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes and blessings to the couple for their new life ahead.”

Their images from the airports were immediately shared online, capturing the newly-married couple beaming in radiant ethnic attire. PV Sindhu appeared remarkable in a bright orange Anarkali suit featuring a scoop neckline, full sleeves, and a flared hemline.
