Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on yesterday took a cheerful jab at Jasprit Bumrah’s dominance, humorously advising that a law might be needed to counter the Indian pacer’s brilliance.

In Sydney, two days ahead of the series finale Indian and Australian players gathered at the Kirribilli House for the New Year’s Day reception which was hosted by PM Albanese and his fiancee Jodie Haydon.

Jasprit Bumrah who is known for his fiery spells and unrelenting accuracy, performance has often left opposition teams searching for answers.

The Indian pace spear point has been the standout performer in the ongoing Border- Gavaskar Trophy, claiming in four matches 30 wickets at an exceptional average of 12.83, including three five-wicket hauls.

The Australian PM as quoted by Sydney Morning Herald told “We could pass a law here that says he has to bowl left-handed or off one step. Every time he has come onto bowl has been very exciting,”

The SCG Test have special advantage as it coincides with ‘Jane McGrath Day,’ dedicated to the memory of late wife of Glenn McGrath, Jane McGrath, who lost her life tragically to cancer.
