BCCI breaks silence on Indian flag row ahead of ICC Champions Trophy 2025, BCCI vice-President Tells ‘if it wasn’t there then….’

The National flag of India was nowhere to be seen atop one of the roofs at the National Stadium in Karachi before the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.Due to security concerns BCCI refused to send its players across borders, so India will be playing all their matches in Dubai.The Organizers should have to put the Indian national flag amongst all other team’s flags at the National stadium in Karachi ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, put forward BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla. With just two days to go before the massive event in Pakistan, a controversy arise after a video went viral on social media in which all the participating nations flags showcased but India, on one of the roofs at the National Stadium.

After the latter refused to travel across the border due to security concerns, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the BCCI have been at odds over the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 venue. However, Pakistan Cricket Board were forced to adopt the hybrid model where the Indian cricket team will be playing all matches of their ICC Champions Trophy 2025 matches in Dubai while Pakistan remain the hosts of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

As it is mandatory to hoist the flags of all the participating nations during any multi-nation tournament hosted by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Specially, the promotional video of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, promoting Pakistan in all its glory, showed snapshots of all the involving eight cricket teams in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

While many believed that it is chance of moving PCB against the BCCI for not sending the Indian Cricket team to Pakistan, vice-president of BCCI emphasized that the Indian flag deserves a spot amongst all the participating nations.

Rajiv Shukla said to media in Delhi “First it should be confirmed that weather the Indian flag was there or not. If it was not there, then it should have been put. All the participant nation’s flags should have been there,”
