Right-handed batter Dhruv Jurel could not find two runs in the last ball, and Mitchell Starc dragged the match into a dramatic Super Over.

The Stubbs Manifest

At Arun Jaitley Stadium, the 200-run mark had been split on each of the last eight T20s by the side batting first. Delhi Capitals didn’t look like getting anywhere close, until Stubbs comes to play with Axar Patel.

Rajasthan Royals also didn’t complete well. Sandeep Sharma who had figures of 3-0-14-0 given a no-ball and four wides in what proved to be a 11-ball over that completed with Maheesh Theekshana dropping a sitter off the last ball, 19 runs came in the over. Rajasthan Royals chasing a higher total than would have.

While Runs of Stubbs were critical, a gun throw running around from wide long-on to limit the penultimate delivery to a single in regulation time with Rajasthan Royals requiring 3 off 2 – was crucial.
