ACC chief scared of India? Mohsin Naqvi takes this step to avoid facing BCCI

ACC chief has reportedly decided to skip the meeting of ICC, where the BCCI will elevate the issue of not getting the Asia Cup trophy after the final of Asia Cup 2025. After India won the Asia Cup 2025 final Mohsin Naqvi ran away with the trophy as Team India decided against taking it from Naqvi.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chairman is finding ways to avoid the BCCI, as he seems to be afraid of facing India.Mohsin Naqvi will reportedly skip the ICC meeting, where the BCCI will raise the issue of Naqvi running away with the Asia Cup trophy. Despite winning the Asia Cup 2025, Suryakumar Yadav-led India did not get the trophy. In the final of Asia Cup 2025, India defeated Pakistan to win the continental tournament. In total, Indian Cricket team embarrassed the Pakistan Cricket team thrice.

As per report of PTI, Mohsin Naqvi will skip the meeting due to “domestic political issues” in Pakistan. The International Cricket Council meeting is scheduled to take place from 4 November to 7 November.

The report adds that since Jay Shah’s appointment as ICC’s chairman, Naqvi hasn’t attended ICC’s meeting. Since still trophy is in Dubai, the BCCI has written to the ACC to hand over trophy to Team India.

What happened after final of Asia Cup?

A massive drama took after India defeated Pakistan in the Asia Cup final. The presentation ceremony got held up by an hour. It was described that an Emirates Cricket Board official was requested to present the trophy to Suryakumar Yadav.

After the ceremony started, Naqvi was hell bent on giving the trophy to India and the plans changed. The presentation ceremony had an unexpected conclusion.

Presenter Simon Doull told ” Ladies and gentlemen, I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council that the Indian cricket team will not collecting their awards tonight. So that does conclude the post-match presentation,”

In the Asia Cup final, India chased down the target of 147 in 19.4 overs.
