At the ICC academy in Dubai on Friday defending Champions India had a matured practice session for finishing to their Asia Cup preparations. On 10th September 2025 India will start their competition versus hosts UAE before playing challengers Pakistan on 14th September and Oman on 19th September. The playoffs start on 20th September. After England Test series which resulted in a 2-2 draw in August, this was the first time the players of India trained together. Captain Suryakumar Yadav, vice-captain Shubman Gill along with Sanju Samson, Jitesh Sharma, Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma all the Indian squad members had extended batting spells in the nets.
Ahead of Asia Cup 2025 many senior players like Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, Kuldeep Yadav and Arshdeep Singh, had a rest of one month. This time team management did not organised a training camp at the BCCI Centre of Excellence and instead plan to reach early in Dubai to adjust.

In the training Shubman Gill who leading the Test team against England, pulled out close attention as Indian team went through fitness routines.As return of Jasprit Bumrah to T20Is among the senior players was also closely observed. He was last played in T20 format in the T20 World Cup final in Bridgetown in year 2024, in which his 2/18 supported india to secure win against South Africa by seven-run and also became the player of the series with 15 wickets.Bumrah missed two Tests against England in the beginning of the year and has rejoined the squad following a 40-day break.
