The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has threatened to remove from their upcoming Asia Cup 2025 Group A match against the United Arab Emirates, if the International Cricket Council (ICC) does not remove match referee Andy Pycroft from the Asia Cup 2025. This is due to controversy, after their match on Sunday where the squad of India refused to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts.
And as on Monday sportslila.com reported, ICC are unlikely to pay attention to threats of PCB and have all but made their pose on the situation clear.
The phenomenon occurred during the post-match proceedings when India skipper Suryakumar Yadav and this team members rejected the customary handshake with their Pakistani opponents. To preventing the traditional exchange of greetings, the Indian team also closed their dressing room door.

Pakistan’s coach Mike Hesson and captain Salman Agha expressed their anger with the action of Indian team. Captain of Pakistan Agha subsequently boycotted the post-match presentation, choosing not to interact with former Indian cricket player Sanjay Manjrekar.
