The Sports Ministry provided a new policy on India vs Pakistan match that regulates India’s international sporting attempts. The Sports Ministry of India has formally granted approval to Indian team to play the high-test Asia Cup 2025 match against Pakistan on 14th September at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Until yesterday the critical Group A match had been in a state of unpredictability when the sports ministry published a new policy that regulates international sporting attempts most particularly the ones with Pakistan.

Yes to Multinationals, No to Bilaterals

As per the new policy, India will be allowed to play multilateral events such as Asia Cup but will still avoid bilateral series with Pakistan. Now it is clear that Suryakumar Yadav led Indian team will play the Asia Cup as scheduled.

Sources said PTI that the directive has taken effect immediately, eliminating the unpredictability that had been doing the rounds since Asia Cup schedule was published last month.

The ministry source told “We will not stop Indian cricket team from playing in Asia Cup as it is multilateral,”
