Cricketer of Afghanistan Ibrahim Zadran breaks all-time Champions Trophy record with 177 during AFG vs ENG clash in Lahore; check details

Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan played well during AFG vs ENG and scored 177 in 146 balls, including 12 fours and four sixes. Opener of Afghanistan cricket team Ibrahim Zadran broke ICC Champions Trophy’s all-time record for the highest individual score when right hander banged a majestic 177 against England in a critical Group B fixture at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Wednesday.

After an injury layoff, playing his first tournament, Ibrahim Zadran couldn’t score well in Afghanistan’s opener against South Africa. But the 23-year-old made sure that he seized the chance against England with both hands as the right-hander just toyed with a hapless England bowling attack.

During the match, Ibrahim Zadran surpassed Ben Duckett of England who had scored 165 against Australia earlier in the Champions Trophy 2025. In fact, With this achievement Ibrahim Zadran became Afghanistan’s first-ever centurion in Champions Trophy history.
