Injured Neymar has replaced by Cristiano Ronaldo to Al-Hilal. It has been reported that the Saudi Pro League club are prepared to end the Brazilian’s contract and bring the Portuguese striker in their squad.
The move would send thunderclap in Saudi football team as the 39-year -old has scored for Al-Nassr 68 goals in 78 appearances since his big-money move from Manchester United.
According to the Catalan media outlet SPORT, Al-Hilal aren’t ready to bet on the 32-year-old Neymar staying injury free and are not keen to report him for competitions.
After picking up an ACL injury, Neymar spent a year on the sidelines. During the AFC Champions League game against Esteghlal he picked up a hamstring issue in the 2nd game back and was replaced after less than thirty minutes.
Ever since he signed he joined Al-Hilal Upto 2025, Neymar has played only 7 official matches, scoring one and providing three assists.
In an August interview with a TV Channel of Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo had verified his commitment to Al-Nassr, ” I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years, but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr. I am happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I am happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” Ronaldo said.
Ronaldo joined Al Nassr in December 2022 and has been a creative scorer for the club.
