This season, the Euro has come to its ending games of the group stages before the top 16 teams of Europe move into the knockouts. Portugal, undoubtedly placed as one of the heavyweights in the Cup, has their icon Ronaldo having a last dance in the season.
Portugal, the winner of the Euro 2016, faced an early upset in the previous Euro instalment in 2020, as they were shown the way out by Belgium in the first stage of the knockouts.
This season has turned out to be a dream season for the Portuguese so far, as Portugal landed a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic before sending Turkey home with a 3-0 stunner.
In either game, we are yet to see the Portuguese star scoring on a single occasion. Yet, the legend was seen displaying an outstanding class of selfless gameplay, as he went on to have several touches, including the vital ball for Bruno Fernandes to score the third goal for Portugal against Turkey.

It was often said that Ronaldo needed to attain his prime to justify his place in the Portuguese playing 11, provided the stunning lineup of the Portuguese. However, Roberto Martinez seems to have other plans for the Al-Nassr forward, as he has provided him with a new role in which he seems to reverse his role of a target man.
Ronaldo slammed his critics as he portrayed his selfless side with a pass against Turkey that led to Bruno’s goal. Hopefully, fans are still impressed by their star’s latest avatar and his selfless display of compelling football. Ronaldo would do all to let his display be stunning until he takes Portugal over the line in the Euros.
