Mumbai Indian head coach Mahela Jayawardene confirmed ongoing recovery of Jasprit Bumrah from his back injury at the BCCI centre of Excellence, Bengaluru. No specified timeline has given for his return. Jayawardene also shared updates on Mumbai Indian’s preparation and Arjun Tendulkar’s availability. The MI remains confident in their experienced bowlers regardless of high-scoring IPL trends.
“Everyone is available except for Bumrah. Like I said in my last interview as well, it’s on a daily basis that he’s going through his programme,” MI head coach said the media on the eve of MI’s match against Gujarat Titans on Saturday.
He focused attention of that while Bumrah’s recovery is progressing well, there is no specific timeline for his return. “So far, everything seems okay. But there were no timelines given by NCA, so we will wait on that,” Jayawardene added.
MI head coach also addressed the high-scoring trend in 18th edition of IPL but remained confident in Mumbai Indians’s experienced bowling attack.

“We have got a very experienced bowling attack, and they don’t think like that. Each venue and opposition presents different challenges, and that’s something we will focus on,” Jayawardene explained.
Apart from Bumrah’s update Jayawardene confirmed that Arjun Tendulkar, who was recovering from a brief illness, will be considered for selection if required.
