  1. Captaining at the age of 50
    The first superstar of cricket saw was Dr. William Gilbert Grace. He become the oldest man who captained England at the age of 50. Since in year 1899, this record has stood firm and it looks highly tentative if anyone will beat it.
  2. 50+ runs in three World Cup Finals
    Making a World Cup Final is an achievement in itself, but to score three consecutive 50+ scores playing as a batsman is another record in itself. This credit goes to Adam Gilchrist as he cracked a century and two fifties in three consecutive finals, which is going to be hard to reproduce.
  3. 199 first-class centuries
    Sachin Tendulkar holds the record for the highest centuries in international cricket, the most centuries in first-class cricket belongs to Jack Hobbs of England cricket team who scored an incredible 199 in total.
  4. 19 wickets in one match
    The record for taking the most wickets in a single match belongs to Jim Laker of England. Jim Laker took a total of 19 wickets against Australia which still hasn’t been broken by anyone.
  5. A 30-year career
    Sachin Tendulkar did have a long 24-year career but he doesn’t hold the record of longest. This record belongs to English all-rounder Wilfred Rhodes who player for 30-years!

    Wilfred Rhodes also has the highest numbers of first-class wickets, heading an incredible 4204 wickets in his long career, which will be hard to crack.
  7. 3-over century
    Sir Don Bradman, once scored a century in just 3 overs, One of the overs was 8 balls long and by 18 minutes, he scored the century.
  8. International wicket without bowling
    Virat Kohli of India holds a unique record of getting his first wicket without bowling a legitimate ball. He took Kevin Pietersen’s wicket in a T20I by getting him stumped off a wide ball.
  9. Consecutive maiden overs
    Indian spinner Rameshchandra Gangaram Nadarni once bowled 21 consecutive overs without conceding a single run.That record is yet to be broken.
  10. Three double-centuries in ODIs
    Rohit Sharma of India holds an incredible record of scoring three double-centuries in ODIs.
