On 2 September 2024 India won a total of eight medals which made country’s single most successful day in the history of paralympics.Before Tokyo Paralympics,only four medals India had won at a single edition and which had done by India twice.First time in 1984 edition then one time more four in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.Then three years back in Tokyo where on 30th August India won five medals, back then a record. Out of five one was gold medal for Sumit Antil in men’s javelin.Accelerate three years, on the day Sumit protected his gold medal in Paris, India won a total of eight medals, as 2nd September 2024 became the country’s single most successful day in the history of Paralympics.

Gold- Nitesh Kumar (Badminton)

Before Monday, Nitesh had not beated Daniel Bethell in their last nine meetings.But in his life biggest match Nitesh defeat Bethell 21-14 18-21 23-21 in 80-minute to win India’s 2nd gold medal of the Paris Games. The win of gold medal was in Men’s Single SL3 remained with with India.
Silver- Thulasimathi Murugesan (Badminton)

In Paris, Murugesan opponent in the final was Yang Qiu Xia, who pushing her in some parts of the match, Indian Badminton player Murugesan lost in straight games. It was a historic silver.
Bronze : Manisha Ramadass (Badminton)

At age 41, the IAS officer keep hold of his silver from Tokyo.Suhas is the only Indian shuttler to win two Paralympics medals now.

Rakesh and Sheetal earns bronze in Mixed Team compound open. In semifinal heartbreak by the smallest of margins against Iran. But they recovered quickly to beat Italy in another suspenser to make sure India’s first archery medal in Paris, which is after a series of suffers across the Olympics and Paralympics.

With his second throw for a stunning 70.59.The silver medal was for a distance of 67.03 and Sumit Antil had three throws farther than that.

In the historical night for India in Paralympics late night there was one more medal to come that increased medal count for India 8.It also confirmed India won five para badminton medals in Paris, which is one more than which earned in Tokyo. In which three of them coming gentility female shuttlers.

Yogesh Kick-started things in Men’s Discus Throw-F56 finishing second to retain his medal from three years back and entering the club of multiple medallists at the Paralympics from India.Despite a season Best throw, Yogesh felt he had more left in him and chance to push Claudiney Batista of Brazil for a shot at gold.
