The Indian cricket team defeated New Zealand in the summit clash of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Both teams at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium locked horns in the final on 9th March 2025. In the first innings of the match New Zealand posting a total of 251 runs.
Chasing the target, the Indian Cricket team put in an superb performance, and due to the performances of Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Varun Chakravarthy, and many more players, India defeated the New Zealand team by four wickets and lifted the Champions Trophy 2025.

It is very interesting to know that after winning the Champions Trophy, The Indian team received a prize of Rs. 20 crore. On the other side, finalists New Zealand, despite their defeat, received a prize money of Rs.12 crore.
Taking of the final between India and New Zealand, the clash saw New Zealand coming in to bat after winning the toss. New Zealand opened their innings with Rachin Ravindra and Will Young coming out to bat. Due To India’s excellent bowling attack they were instantly put under pressure. Black Caps post 251 runs in the first innings.
Chasing the target of 252 Men in blue got off to a brilliant start as opener Rohit Sharma scored 76 runs in 83 balls. Furthermore, Shreyas Iyer added 48 runs on the board alongside KL Rahul who went not out on the score of 34 runs. India won the match by chasing the target in 48.4 overs, winning the clash by four wickets. This was third ICC Champions Trophy title, which saw them become the most successful team in the Champions Trophy history.
