England are only team to host ICC Champions Trophy multiple times,as they hosted the Champions Trophy in 2004, 2013 and 2017. The ICC Champions Trophy is a one-day international tournament introduced by ICC in year 1998. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be played by eight team- a 50-over ICC event, with first match played between defending champions Pakistan and New Zealand in National Bank Stadium Karachi on today and won by New Zealand by 60 runs.
Pakistan was initially slated to be the sole host for the event. However, after the BCCI’s failure to grant to send the Indian cricket team to Pakistan, the ICC Champions Trophy was shifted to a hybrid model, with the United Arab Emirates hosting the India’s matches and semifinal 1 as co-hosts. If India qualifies for its third straight final in the event, the final will also be held in the UAE.
1998 ICC KnockOut Trophy (Bangladesh)
The inaugural edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, then called the ICC KnockOut Trophy, was held in Bangladesh, blotching the first major ICC tournament outside traditional Cricketing nations.
2000 ICC Knockout Trophy (Kenya)

2002 ICC Champions Trophy (Sri Lanka)
In year 2002 edition, the tournament was renamed as the ICC Champions Trophy.Sri Lanka hosted the tournament and the final was played between the hosts and India. But the final match was heavily affected by the rain, and despite two attempts to complete it, no result was possible. Finally, both teams were declared joint champions. This remains the only express of shared ICC silverware in history.
2004 ICC Champions Trophy (England)
England first time hosted the Champions Trophy in 2004,and in the final dramatic encounter between the hosts and west Indies happened. 2009 ICC Champions Trophy (South Africa)
This tournament was scheduled to held in Pakistan, but was moved to South Africa due to security concerns. And Australia continue their supremacy in cricket, successfully defending the title. Australia defeated New Zealand in the final.
2013 ICC Champions Trophy (England and Wales)
The 2013 edition of ICC Champions Trophy held in England, and in a rain-affected final India emerge as Champions after defeating the hosts. Under the leadership of MS Dhoni, India played exceptional cricket throughout the tournament.
