ICC Champions Trophy 2025: Virat Kohli plays 300th ODI vs New Zealand as India aim to continue winning run

Virat Kohli, playing in his 300th ODI, focuses to bright against New Zealand in their concluding group fixture of the ICC Champions Trophy. Recently, Kohli scored a century against Pakistan, he looks to extend his shining form while India, already in the semi-finals. Playing in his 300th ODI, Virat Kohli, probably the significant player besides the legendary Sachin Tendulkar in this format, and his recent hundred that saw him reclaimed his form in the last match against Pakistan, will look to make the occasion special when India play New Zealand in their final Group A match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday (Tomorrow) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Yet, the sight of bowler of Pakistan last Sunday was no different, as the maestro stroked Virat record-extending 51st century to take India home in a 242-run chase with 45 balls still left in the bag.

Overall, Virat Kohli is set to become only the 22nd batter, and the Indian cricketer, to play 300 ODIs – a list guided by Sachin Tendulkar with 463. Kohli also crossed 14000 ODI runs to connect Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara as only the 3rd batter to fulfill the feat.

Virat Kohli’s ultimate aim, of course, would be to touch or cross Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 100 international hundreds- the 111-ball 100 not out against Pakistan was Virat’s 82nd hundred in International cricket.
