ICC Test Team of the Year: Jasprit Bumrah headlines three Indians in the squad

The International Cricket Council announced its Test Team of the year 2024 on Friday, which includes three Indian players- premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah, emerging opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal and experienced all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. The squad also included players from New Zealand, Sri Lanka, and England, with Australia’s Test captain and fast bowler Pat Cummins named as the skipper of the side, being the sole delegate from his country in the lineup.

The Test team included four players from England and two from New Zealand, with the skilled Kane Williamson amongst them. Jasprit Bumrah was the ‘Player of the series’ in the Test match series of the five-match in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) on their tour of Australia recently. Yashasvi Jaiswal was the top-scorer for India with 391 runs, which included one century and two fifties.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, meanwhile, had scored 135 runs and took four wickets in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT).
