For the first ODI against India this Sunday( 19 Oct 2025) in Perth, Australia cricket has made two last-minute changes to their squad. The hosts Australia will be played without their premier white-ball spinner, Adam Zampa, and wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Inglis for the series opener, securing in spinner Matthew Kuhnemann and wicketkeeper-batsman Josh Philippe in place of them.Since Zampa will not play Perth tie to be home with his pregnant wife, and Inglis is yet to recover from a calf strain.
Josh Philippe, who has played three One day Internationals to date, in One Dayers will keep wickets for the first time. Along with Adam Zampa and Josh Inglis, Test specialist Alex Carey, also a batting mainstay in One-Day side of Australia, will also be absent for the first game to honour Sheffield Shield commitment as part of his Ashes preparation. For the second match in Adelaide on Thursday (Oct 23) when Carey returns also Inglis shall also remain out of the selection fray.; however, Australia for the final ODI in Sydney on October 25 (Saturday).

Zampa will re-link with the ODI team for the final two matches after out of the first match for paternity reasons, as travelling home to be with his wife. He is also due to feature in the five T20Is that follow, with all those games being played on the east coast.
