After securing the T20I series 4-1, India is going to host England for a three-match ODI series, starting from Thursday 6th February 2025. The first match will play in Nagpur, the second match and third One day Internationals will held in Cuttack and Ahmedabad respectively.
This series will the final preparation for both India and England before they head to the ICC Champions Trophy later this month. Before the series starts, let’s take a look at India’s ODI record at the three scheduled venues.
First ODI IND vs ENG: Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur
The first ODI will be played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on 6th Feb, Thursday. This stadium hosting its first ODI in 2009 (India vs Australia), This stadium has witnessed six ODIs, in which India won five and lost one.
- India’s only ODI defeat in Nagpur: Versus South Africa in year 2011 (lost by three wickets).
- Record of England team in Nagpur : Played only one match, winning against the Netherlands in the World Cup 2011 (Won by six wickets).

Second ODI IND vs ENG: Barabati Stadium, Cuttack
The second ODI will take place at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha which is one of the oldest cricket venues. The first ODI at this stadium was played in 1982.
- India vs England in Cuttack : Five ODIs in which India won three, England won two.
- Record of India in Cuttack : Played 17 ODIs, won 13 and lost four.
- Other ODIs of England in Cuttack : Defeated Pakistan in 1989 (won by four wickets).
Third ODI IND vs ENG: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad
The final and third ODI will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, which is India’s largest cricket stadium. This stadium previously known as Motera Cricket Stadium, which was renamed in 2021. This stadium hosted its first ODI in 1984 (India vs Australia).
In Ahmedabad India’s record : Total 20 ODIs match played, winning 11 and losing 9.
