The ICC Champions Trophy will be beginning on 19th February 2025 and India will play its first match against Bangladesh on 20th February 2025.
The BCCI announced the 15-member squad for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Mumbai today (18 January,2025). Ajit Agarkar, BCCI chairman of selectors announced the 15-man squad for the champions Trophy. Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav comeback in the ODI squad of India. Mohammed Shami played ODI cricket during the ICC World cup 2023.
Jasprit Bumrah was also included in the ICC Champions squad. As Jasprit Bumrah will remain absent for the first two matches due to injury, Harshit Rana will be back-up reserve for England ODI series. As the government of India had refused permission for the Indian squad to travel to Pakistan, India will be playing all their matches at the Champions Trophy in UAE.
The Champions Trophy will be starting on 19th February 2025 and India will be playing its first match against Bangladesh on 20th February 2025.
The Chairman of selector Ajit Agarkar and skipper Rohit Sharma announced the squad during a press conference in Mumbai. During the press conference head coach Gautam Gambhir was not present.
