The launch of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, designed to substitute the Pataudi Trophy for India-England Test series in England, has been postponed. This decision comes after the destructive plane crash in Ahmedabad, which claimed over 275 lives. The BCCI and ECB combindly decided to defer the ceremony in consideration of plane crash in Ahmedabad.
The much-anticipated launch of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy originally scheduled for today (14th June 2025), on the sidelines of the World Test Championship final at Lord’s, but the naming ceremony was called off in consideration of victims of the plane crash.
