For the fifth and final Test against India at the Oval, Jamie Overton makes a comeback in the England’s squad, scheduled to start on Thursday. Jamie Overton who is also a all-rounder, last played a Test in 2022, replaces a player in the 15-member team. Last time Jamie Overton showcased his expertises with a remarkable 97-run innings and two wickets against New Zealand.
Jamie Overton, at Leeds made his Test debut against New Zealand. In that match he impressed by making 97 runs along with picking up two wickets. During the IPL 2025 season, he also featured in three matches for Chennai Super Kings.
Rest of the England squad from the fourth Test remains unchanged apart from Overton’s inclusion.

“The England Men’s selection panel has added Surrey all-rounder Jamie Overton to the squad for the Rothesay Fifth Test match against India at Kia Oval, starting on Thursday 31 July.” The England and Wales Cricket Board, in an official statement said.
