The India vs Australia three ODIs series will beginning from October 19. This series after seven months will see the return of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the Indian national team. This series will also be Shubman Gill’s first series as ODI captain. In England, after a successful Test leadership and at home first series win over West Indies, Shubman Gill will start his period as ODI captain when India take on Australia in the first of three matches in Perth on Sunday (19 October 2025). The second and third ODIs of the series are scheduled for 23 October and 25 October respectively.
Apart from Shubman Gill, the centre of attention will be on former captains Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli who are returning to the Indian Cricket team after seven months. Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retired from Tests and T20Is. Shreyas Iyer will be Shubman Gill’s deputy in ODIs.

On the other side, Australia Cricket Team were forced to make three changes in their ODI squad. All-rounder Cameron Green has been eliminated of the series with Marnus Labuschagne being named as substitution.
