On 15th February late in the afternoon, an unusual craze gripped the business class arrivals lounge of the Dubai International Airport. The word had proceeded that the Indian Cricket team was going to land shortly and many of fans had assembled to catch a glimpse of their favourite cricket star. The whole area which generally sees passengers quietly make their way to the limber of luxury vehicles waiting outside was bumbling with activity.
Security teams were working with extreme speed when the flight carrying the Indian Cricket team landed on the runway. Some luggage trolleys were used to surround the area and the intensity picked up when the local police instructed everyone to vacate the lounge area and move to the parking lot outside. There were loud cheers when the head coach of Indian Cricket team Gautam Gambhir led the escort to the Indian team bus. Each members of the team – from Virat Kohli to Hardik Pandya to Shreyas Iyer – acknowledged the fans during the boarding into the team bus.
Waiting fans kept looking inside due to skipper Rohit Sharma was yet to exit the building while others players took their respective seats. And when Rohit did, there were loud cheers for the Hitman who walked quickly to the waiting bus and even called for the security official for few instructions. Did Rohit forget something again? Eh! not pretty confident but you never know! The bus left the airport and KL Rahul, who made his way out at least 20 minutes after going the Indian team, took a different Car to the hotel of team.

The first match of India in ICC Champions Trophy will on 20th February 2025 which is still 3 days away and the buzz has naturally been missing in the city. Only Indian Cricket team would be parked in Dubai because the rest of the teams will play their matches in Pakistan, who is the official hosts of the tournament.

The teams assigned schedules vs India will travel to Dubai and then head back as per the hybrid arrangement okays by the International Cricket Council (ICC).
