Injured star player of RCB cleared to play once IPL 2025 Resumes: Report

One report was coming that star RCB fast bowler Josh Hazlewood injured himself and unable to attend the remaining of the IPL 2025. Now a report states that Josh Hazlewood will be traveling to India for the remaining of the IPL 2025. However, the date of his arrival to India is not confirm till now. This is great news for Royal Challenger Bengaluru.

After a week of being suspended due to the tensions that credited between India and Pakistan, the Indian Premier League 2025 is now ready to resume from 17th May (Saturday). After the IPL resumes the first match of the tournament will be between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). RCB will try for a spot in the playoffs, and there have been several injuries in their squad along with their skipper Rajat Patidar. After all, the RCB is set to receive a big boost as their fast bowler Josh Hazlewood.

A report earlier came that star fast bowler Josh Hazlewood injured himself and would not be available for the remaining of the IPL 2025 In the last match of RCB against Chennai Super Kings before India Pakistan tension he was even unavailable for the match. He has even been selected for the Australia squad for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) 2025 final, which again raised questions on his availability.

A source close to the proceedings said the publication “Yes, Josh will travel to India. We are in discussion with the authorities about the exact date of his arrival,”

Jitesh Sharma to be new skipper of RCB

As per report, Rajat Patidar is suffering from finger injury and will miss the remaining of the IPL 2025. The injury is such that he might also not be chosen for the India A side for the tour to England. Therefore, RCB would require somebody to guide the RCB for the rest of the IPL 2025.

The match between RCB and LSG supposed to be held on 13th May 2025, and it is star wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma who is set to guide the RCB in his absence. In the RCB Diaries show on YouTube Jitesh Sharma himself confirmed this in a conversion. Hence, it is likely that he will lead the RCB.
