IPL 2025: Arrival date of Josh Hazlewood confirmed, tragicomic moment for RCB; Mitchell Starc opts out of remaining of IPL 2025

A well-informed source said to media “Josh is preparing to arrive in India by the end of last week (of May). He will be available for the playoffs.”
Australian speedster Josh Hazlewood is ready to rejoin the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) squad before starting the Indian Premier League playoffs. Source confirmed that the ace speedster, who has been the standout performer for the RCB in the 18th edition of the T20 tournament, is get ready to arrive in India by the end of next week and Josh Hazlewood will be available for the Royal challengers Bengaluru for the playoffs.

Hazlewood is managing a shoulder complain but he is expected to be present for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the all-important playoffs. His availability for RCB give the franchise a major improvement as South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi going back to participate in upcoming World Test Championship. Since Cricket South Africa (CSA) decided to call their players from the IPL tournament by the date 26th May 2025 for the upcoming World Test Championship (WTC) final.

In the leading wicket taker list in IPL 2025 Hazlewood is at the third place as he has taken 18 wickets in 10 matches. He had earlier missed the fixture due to a shoulder niggle against Chennai Super Kings at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium.

Mitchell Starc opts out

Delhi Capitals have been provide a body blow before the resumption of the IPL 2025. The Australian left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc has informed the Delhi Capitals management that he will not come back. After Jake Fraser- McGurk to opt out of the remaining matches of the IPL 2025, Mitchell Starc is the second Delhi Capitals player.

Mustafizur Rahman of Bangladesh recently named by Delhi Capitals as the replacement of Jake Fraser-McGurk but after the getting the No-Objection Certificate (NOC) from Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
