Following a ceasefire between India and Pakistan, the BCCI is set to decide the future of IPL 2025. The ceasefire development could allow the IPL 2025 to resume nationwide after earlier disturbance. The BCCI plans the meeting on 11th May or 12 May to conclude IPL 2025 master plan. Due to rising India-Pakistan tensions IPL stopped mid-game. The overseas players have returned home in a situation of uncertainty.

The BCCI is seems to hold a meeting on today or tomorrow to finalize the future course of action regarding the Indian Premier League 2025. During the match between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings as tensions escalated between India and Pakistan the IPL 2025 was halted on 8th May 2025. Sportslila has learnt that the BCCI is likely to resume the tournament after a ceasefire was agreed between the India-Pakistan on Saturday.

The BCCI has taken quick action to send the overseas players back to their homes through flights amidst an escalation of dispute between India and Pakistan. However, a ceasefire was declared on yesterday evening. This unexpected declaration came after Pakistan’s Director General of Military Operation dialed up his Indian counterpart around 3.30pm and both the nations agreed to stop all military actions on all area- land, sea, and air.

A BCCI official in an exclusive interview said “Now that the conflict has de-escalated and ceasefire has been agreed, we are open to hosting matches in all regions, not just the southern states.”
