Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025 season shifted from third to first position in IPL 2025 points table after victory over Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs. With this loss Rajasthan Royals are eliminated from the race of playoff who was secured third place in the IPL 2024.
After 6th consecutive win of the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2025 season, MI jumped from third to first in the Indian Premier League(IPL) 2025 point table. At the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rajasthan Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 100 runs. From total 11 matches Mumbai Indians have taken 14 points, but after played only 10 matches Royal Challengers also have taken 14 points.
Considering net run-rate (NRR) Mumbai Indians occupy the number one spot. Punjab Kings shifted from second position from third position. In this way Rajasthan Royals become the second team to lose out of the playoffs race after elimination of Chennai Super Kings.
