Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) won over Sunrises Hyderabad (SRH) by 80 runs in IPL 2025, driven by Venkatesh Iyer’s flammable 60 off 29 balls and vaibhav Arora’s 3-wicket pull. Kolkata Knight Rides set a intimidating total of 200/6 and dismissed Sunrisers Hyderabad for 120, which shown dominant performance and strong teamwork at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
The victory came due to explosive batting of Venkatesh Iyer and fiery bowling of Vaibhav Arora, both of them play key roles in dominance of KKR.
Came to bat first, KKR lost early wickets but get stability with a strong performance of middle-order. Venkatesh Iyer who led the charge with a shining 60 off 29 balls, wonderful three sixes and seven fours at an unbelievable strike rate of 206.90. Venkatesh Iyer came in when KKR was 97/3 in the 11th over, following dismissal of Ajinkya Rahane. He suddenly turned the momentum in favour of Kolkata Knight Riders, forming a critical partnership with Angkrish Raghuvanshi (50 off 32).
KKR accelerated the inning in the final overs due to Shreyash Iyer ability to attack spinners and pacer bowlers. His innings finished in the 19th over, caught by Aniket Verma off Harshal Patel, but till then he had already powered KKR to an imposing 200/6 in 20 overs.

Defending 200 of KKR, Vaibhav Arora struck in his very first over, dismissing dangerous Travis head. He removing Ishan Kishan (2) and Heinrich Klaasen (33), breaking SRH’s resistance. His figures of 3/29 put KKR in fully control. He later won the player of the Match award.
No batters could make a important impact apart from Klaasen (33) and Kamindu Mendis (27). KKR’s commanding victory was afford by Venky Iyer’s attacking knock and Vaibhav Arora’s match winning spell, make sure their team’s dominance in TATA IPL 2025.
