With the bat, Shubman Gill scripted history and becoming the first player to smash 100 sixes for Gujarat Titans during their IPL 2026 encounter against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

But his intent was truly defined in the second over. Gill unleashed a stunning assault while facing Josh Hazlewood, hammering 24 runs in the over. The sequence of 4,4, dot, 6,4,6 showcased a mix of elegance and authority as he dismantled one of premier bowlers of RCB with ease.

Shubman Gill looked in complete control from stepping out to carve boundaries over the off side to launching clean hits down the ground. The confidence he carried at the crease underlined by one flick over deep backward square leg for six, followed by a composed walk and a glance at the fielders.
That was 100th six of Shubman Gill for Gujarat Titans, the next most for the franchise is 69 by Sai Sudharsan.
In the first 10 deliveries of an innings, his rapid 35 off just 10 balls is now the highest score by a Gujarat Titans batter, surpassing the previous record held by Hardik Pandya.
The 24-run over also marked joint-most expensive of Hazlewood in the history of IPL, highlighting the extent of dominance of Shubman Gill.
After scoring 43 off just 18 balls, he was eventually dismissed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
