The TATA IPL 2024 season which is 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has reached in mid season.In this IPL season so many records breaks likes total aggregates,soaring run rates and sixes which is giving excitement to IPL 2024 season.Emergence of new ‘desi’ hitter is the highlight of the this season.

Soaring run rates, record totals and sixes are large in amount in this season

Batsman have dominated bowlers like never before in this IPL season.The run-rate in IPL 2024 is 9.49 which is highest for any season both after 35 matches and overall! 2023 was the previous most high-scoring season with run-rate of 8.99.Sunriser Hyderabad with a run-rate of 11.2,are at the top of the pack and are followed by KKR who have a run-rate of 10.6 this season. while some of the famous((Big-ticket players) players is failed in this season.The IPL 2024 season has also seen highest team total in IPL history law broken not once but twice by SRH! Four of the five highest team totals in IPL history have come this season.There were a total of seven 220-plus totals in the entire last season. 618 sixes have been hit in this edition after the 1st 35 matches and season record of 1124 set last year is in real danger.

The perennial bowling woes of the challengers

RCB have again had a nightmare of a season with the ball-in fact,RCB shown worst till date, and that put them at the bottom of the point table. they have worst bowling average, strike rate and also economy rate in this TATA IPL2024 season.They have most expensive bowling unit in the first six overs.The absence of quality leg spinner is hurting them big-time in the middle-overs where RCB have not able to stop the flow of runs in this season.

Home- advantage-not an advantage any more

The home team out of first 22 matches won 17 in this season while the away team has won 10 of the last 13 matches.

Chasing an advantage again

chasing has been historical advantage not only in the ipl matches but in all T20 cricket matches! The chasing team had won 37 matches in the IPL 2021 edition.The same pattern continued for the first quarter of this season too.Chasing become more successful.

Before IPL 2024 announced cricket lovers was too much interested to know that MS Dhoni opted to resign from his position as skipper of Chennai super Kings skipper.Chennai super Kings released official statement before starting the IPL 2024 on X handle of the Indian Premier League(IPL) Ruturaj Gaikwad as the new CSK Skipper of IPL 2024.As MS Dhoni was five time IPL winning captain (joint most with Rohit Sharma) decided to handover captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Chennai Super King won five Indian Premier League titles under Dhoni’s charge.This makes him one of the most successful captains in the competition.Apart from IPL Dhoni also led two champions Trophy triumphs in 2010 and 2014.During 2016 IPL Dhoni led defunct Rising Pune Supergiant, where he could record just five wins out of fourteen matches.The former India captain stepped down in the following season, giving the charge to Steve Smith.

Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli buried the hatchet on Friday with an internet-breaking hug during the KKR- RCB match.The TATA IPL 2024 match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru face-off between KKR mentor Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli.It was their 1st meeting since that having a very bad reputation night in Lucknow last year where they had an ugly spat over a match situation, leaving cricket world in quite a shock.However both on Friday 29 March 2024 with an internet-breaking hug during the KKR-RCB match.

At Ekana Stadium the footage of that incident when Kohli had a tiff with LSG bowler Naveen-ul-Haq during that IPL 2023 match last year,which led to the umpires intervening and Gambhir was the mentor for Lucknow Super Giants was shown repeatedly with experts having their say on it.The two later shared an intense handshake at the end of the game.Moments later Gambhir and Kohli were seen charging at each other as an ugly scene broke out at the venue before the players from the respective sides stepped up to separate the two.All three were charged severely by BCCI for breach of conduct.

Moreover, a video from the practice session of Kolkata Knight Rider in Bengaluru showed an Virat with an icy-cold stare at Gautam Gambhir.However during the timeout after 16th over,Gambhir and Kohli shared a warm hug with a short chat.Kohli was smiling for whole chat before the India legend walked back to the KKR dugout.Former India head coach Ravi Shastri erupted in the commentary box telling ” Good to see…..Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli”

As RCB bat first at home ground on Friday, RCB lost their skipper Fafdu Plessis early in the match by the KKR fast bowler Harshit Rana.After that Virat Kohli and Cameron Green made 65-run stand for the second wicket.En router to the second big partnership,Virat reached his half-century knock in 36 balls with three huge sixes and two boundaries.This was Virat kohli’s second half-century score in the TATA IPL 2024, having 77 off 49 against Panjab Kings a week ago at the same stadium.

Opening day of IPL 2024 registered a watch-time of 1276 crore minutes-the highest-ever for any season for the first day.The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League opened to blockbuster viewership number. Total of 16.8 crore viewers watched first game of TATA IPL 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai super Kings on 22 March 2024.

The 17th season of IPL that means TATA IPL 2024 was also witnessed the highest-ever peak TV concurrency for an opening day, with 6.1 crores viewers watching simultaneously on the Disney Star network.

“870 crore minutes had recorded by Disney Star on the IPL’s opening day in 2023.comparison to last season there is a growth of 16 percent in TV consumption” the company informed.

In the TATA IPL 2024 opening match defending champion Chennai super Kings defeated Royal Challengers Bengaluru by Six wickets.The capacity of Live cricket to aggregate audiences on TV provides a blockbuster start to the tournament.A resealed said ” We will continue this magic of one of the world’s biggest sporting events to take forward and deliver unexampled viewership”.

The channel told this record-breaking TV viewership on opening ceremony comes on the back of an array of programmers in the lead-up to the 17th season which attracted more than 24.5 crores viewers till a week before of start of the TATA IPL 2024 season.

On digital space,Jiocinema having 11.3 crores viewers on the first day of the IPL.This was registered a 51 percent jump over day one of IPL 2023. On jiocinema its was 660 crores minutes total watch time.

The BCCI announced the remaining schedule of Indian Premier League(IPL) 2024 on 25th March 2024.BCCI had earlier announced schedule for only the 1st 21 games due to upcoming general elections in the country.

The competition is set to resume with defending champion Chennai Super kings (CSK) taking on the Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) on 8th April 2024 in Chennai.The qualifier 2 and final match will be on 24th May and 26th May 2024 respectively. Qualifier 1 and Eliminator will be played at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on 21th May and 22th May 2024.
