Ruturaj Gaikwad has broken his silence on elimination of IPL 2025. Due to elbow injury of Gaikwad, Chennai Super Kings skipper will miss the remaining match of the IPL 2025 season. Ruturaj Gaikwad has been replaced by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is five-time IPL-winning Captain.
Ahead of CSK home game against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were hard hitted as Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the season.The right-handed batter will miss the rest of the matches due to an elbow fracture. Ruturaj broke his silence after getting eliminated and sent a message to the fans.
“Hello everyone, Ruturaj this side. Really gutted to be missing future part of the IPL due to an unfortunate elbow injury. But, thank you for your support until now. Yes, we have been struggling a while, you know now that a young wicketkeeper leading the team, hopefully, things will change. I am gonna be there with the team, really support them,” Ruturaj told.
“Definitely would have loved to take this team out of this situation, but you know some things are not controllable. As I said, definitely looking forward to support the team from the dug-out and hopefully, we have a great season ahead. Thank you.”
Ruturaj has been replaced by a five-time IPL-winning captain, MS Dhoni. Dhoni who was stepped down from the top role before IPL 2024. Dhoni’s last game as the skipper was the IPL 2023 final against Gujarat Titans, which Chennai Super Kings won.

Ruturaj didn’t make a unforgettable beginning to his captaincy career and CSK crashed out of the league stage of the IPL 2025 season. They have had a unremarkable in the ongoing IPL season and have just managed 1 win from 5 matches. CSK are staging at the 9th spot in the points table.
