T20 World Cup 2026: India Vs NZ Final Date, Stadium, Squads and Prize Money

In the finals of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, India will face New Zealand on March 8 2026. The winner of final match India or New Zealand is expected to take home not just the shiny silver trophy but heavy prize money as well. Including losers, all the teams who have participated in ICC T20 World Cup will be given a participation prize as well. After New Zealand defeated South Africa on 4 March 2026 by 9 wickets,they become the first team for the final match. Meanwhile, India defeated England by 7 runs on 5 March 2026,to become the second contender.

ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 Final Stadium:

The final match between India and New Zealand will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This Stadium is one of the largest stadium in India. In the final match, the on-field empires for the showpiece match will be Richard Illingworth and Alex Wharf. While Allahuddien Paleker and Adrian Holdstock are the third and fourth empire. Andy Pycroft will be the match referee.

Prize Money:

According to Wikipedia, media reports indicated an allocation of $ 13.5 million for the tournament, while the ICC has not officially announced the prizes. Meanwhile, according to myKhel report, top honours will come with a historic payday as winners will receive $3 million (about Rs 27 crore), while runners-up bag $ 1.6 million (nearly Rs 14.6 crore), and the two semi-final losers each take home $790,000 (nearly Rs 7 crore).
