India gunning for top order of South Africa

Bowling coach of India Morne Morkel told on Friday that India’s bowlers will target early wickets against South Africa.

Former South Africa quick bowler Morkel told “We know that their top order gives them that momentum, with Quinton (de kock) and Aiden (Markram) up front in good form and hitting the ball very well”

“We will definitely put our best foot forward to try and get those early wickets.”

How did India reach the Super Eights of T20 World Cup 2026?

With four wins from four matches, India stormed their group to claim top spot. A slightly nervous begin against USA was followed by a thumping 93-run win against Namibia.

The match with rivals Pakistan, which resulted in a 61-run win, while final match saw the Netherlands fall only 17 runs short of their 194 target.

How did South Africa reach the Super Eights of T20 World Cup 2026?

With a 57-run win against Canada, South Africa opened their tournament, but in their second match needed a Super Over to confirm their win against Afghanistan. By defeating New Zealand by seven-wicket proteas confirm their passage to the Super Eights with a match to spare, before finishing the group with a six-wicket win against the UAE.
