The team management and selectors are already considering in the possibility that Bumrah might not be able to play all Tests in England. Participation in the remainder of IPL 2025 remains undetermined, with his return being assessed on a week-to-week basis.
Next match of Mumbai Indians comes against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 4th April 2025 in Lucknow, and absence of Bumrah may be costlier against a strong batting lineup of LSG. While the team has been banking on their depth in pace bowling, under the guidance of Trent Boult for now, the lack of an experienced leader like Jasprit Bumrah could leave them in danger, specially in death overs.
